This is a variation of a recipe from my grandmother-in-law! Sweet, cinnamony and tastes like the holidays!
Snickerdoodle Bread
Yield: 1 9×13-in. loaf
What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 c. butter, room temperature
- 1 c. of white sugar, plus a little more for topping
- 2 tsp. of cinnamon, plus a little more for topping
- 1/4 tsp. of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. of plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 c. of flour
- 1 tsp. of baking powder
- Half of a 10 oz. bag of cinnamon chips
What You’ll Do:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease your bread pan.
- Cream together sugar, cinnamon and salt until fluffy.
- Add in eggs, Greek yogurt and vanilla, beating until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Slowly add dry mixture into wet mixture, beating until well combined.
- Stir in cinnamon chips.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and sprinkle a bit of cinnamon and sugar over top.
- Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
