Is anyone else super sick of winter? January through early March has always been my least favorite time of the year, because I am always so tired of cold weather and so ready for springtime! It’s been an especially chilly, rainy day here in NC, so I decided some homemade comfort food was in order for dinner–white chicken chili.
Sometimes you’re given a reason to celebrate, but you don’t have a lot of time to prepare a huge celebration. Chocolate covered strawberries are the perfect solution for such an occasion.
As a born and bred Raleighite, I don’t do snow. In fact, no one around here does–our collective inability to handle snow gained national attention a few years back.
I am an unabashedly huge Southern Living fan. I believe I first received a subscription to the magazine from my step-dad (who is probably the #1 fan of my cooking) when I was in middle school. I continued my subscription for years, even though one of my college roommates told me that the magazine was created to “keep housewives complacent”.
I am super excited for the Super Bowl this year!! The Carolina Panthers are going to bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy home to NC for the first time (#keeppounding), Beyoncé is expected to perform at halftime (yassss Queen B) AND it’s an excuse to make all sorts of yummy apps (and drink good beer).
We’re celebrating the Panthers’ trip to the big game at work tomorrow, and I’m bringing this buffalo chicken dip as my contribution. It’s super easy. Super yummy. Super perfect for Super Bowl celebrations.
I’ve spent my whole life working toward the next step. Work hard in high school to get into a good college. Work even harder in college in order to get a good job. Oh, and don’t forget to work multiple internships so you can set yourself apart from the competition. Done, done and done…but now what? I sit at a desk eight hours a day, five days a week, for the rest of my life?
